CPT Forrest "Dick" R. Bjornaas
VHPA member, Vietnam Helicopter Pilots Assn. Flight Class 21-51
Born in Proctor, MN: 11/06/1927
Served 25 years in military, 20 years in the Marine Corps.
Served two tours in Vietnam with MAG-16 in 65-66
Call sign in Vietnam JUNKMAN.
Nicknames are often assigned by fellow Marines - he was an aviator and flew any aircraft, in any condition.
He was honest, strict, smart and funny; "Gramps" to our 3 kids, a loving husband, a good friend, and, my Dad.
He passed away August 11, 2015. |

Not sure if he ever approved or understood why in the world his son in law began a candle business or if it would ever make any money. However, he accepted the situation and one day declared that he was proud of us.
That really meant something!
