For many of the people of Eastern Asian countries, and especially in India, annual celebrations have taken  place for centuries along the river banks.

Hand made little ceramic, delicate brass,  or beautifully decorated containers with pressed leaves and flowers, contain a tiny lit candle carrying a ceremonial prayer, remembrance or wish for good luck out in the waters. The glowing candles called Diyas, illuminate the waters in the evening or early morning hours. Festivals often last 5 days with devotees participating in the time honored rituals. A quiet atmosphere is often filled with classical music being played.

The inner center area of the candle flower is illuminated by the flame. This is an Armadilla Wax Works original design. Use indoors as a table top centerpiece. A large fruit bowl is nice. Add a few items of interest such as colored pieces of glass or natural leaves in the water to add your creative flair. Refill the center flower cavity, that has burned out, with the use of the tiny candle in a t-light. (Just the candle, not left in the tin container.) Using in a pool - turn off the water filter so that the candles float naturally rather than move to one side of the pool.
