Votive Candle Holders are very important because votive candles are designed to liquefy into their votive cup.
It should be the right size to contain the liquid wax as it melts into the cup so that the wick can easily absorb that wax to give you the full burn time.
For example, if the cup is too wide the wick would not be able to gather all of that wax.
